#MammogramMustHai (Mammogram is a MUST)

 

Pakistan has the highest incidence of Breast Cancer in Asia. An estimate of 1 in 10 women may develop Breast Cancer in their lifetime. 

 

This October, during Breast Cancer Awareness month, Roche Pakistan collaborated with Gul Ahmed and Shaukat Khanam Hospital and Diagnostic Center to create awareness on Breast Cancer and highlight the importance of Early Diagnosis.

 

Gul Ahmed being one of the most known brand for women apparel has a daily average footfall of 35,000 women in approximately 117 stores across Pakistan where as Shakuat Khanam is a state of the art charitable hospital where 75% of the patients are financially supported.

In lieu of this campaign, Roche and Gul Ahmed offered a PKR 7,000 mammogram for PKR 1,000. The discounted coupons were made available at selected Gul Ahmed outlets and could be redeemed at Shaukat Khanam Hospital and Diagnostic centers.

In addition to this, we arranged an event on 11 October with the most influential women of Pakistan in the panel to spread awareness about mammogram and how important it is for women to acknowledge this disease. The event was streamed LIVE on the Facebook page of Gul Ahmed has been viewed by more than 80,000 people till date.

Here is hoping that activities and campaigns like these will encourage women to take care of themselves and get them checked before it is too late.
