Recormon contains the active substance epoetin beta and is a medicine that stimulates growth of red blood cells. It is indicated for the treatment of patients with anaemia due to chronic kidney disease (CKD), or chemotherapy-induced anaemia (when treating certain cancers). It is also used to prevent anaemia in premature babies, or for patients where blood will be extracted before they undergo surgery.
